Poor Ralphie Bots decided to do one of his acrobatic death-defying back flips from the sofa last night and fell awkwardly. He had been walking funny this morning, and I thought it might just be a sprain so I left it a few hours but he looked pretty forelawn and unhappy when I got back from so I decided I needed to take him to the vet. Poor Ralphie didnt like that much at all and shook with fear the whole time he was in there -- poor chap has probably had enough of vets poking and prodding him after his last big operation at the Royal Vet College. Anywho the vet was a bit worried that he had broken a bit of a his elbow - his 'coracoid process', and apparently this is quite a common thing for spaniels. So Ralphies on dog-bed-rest for 2 weeks. Hopefully that will sort him but otherwise he'll need an x ray to confirm (or not) whether hes got this boney injury. I'm worried about my little man and will be giving him lots of cuddles (even more than the record amount he usually recieves, over the next couple of weeks). Poor dog splodge isnt even allowed to go walkies. :(
Random chit chat about the adventures of Ralphie the dog and moi. I have additional pages on here about my work in cake design and construction as well as a page that focuses on health and well being

Adrians 25th Birthday Bash
Oh its all got sooooo out of hand, even the blog has been neglected. My apologies for the rather long gap between updates. So here we are, now in February, we're well into the new year and several anniversaries have come and gone so 'lets start at the very beginning, its a very good place to start' as Julie Andrews put it.
So following the new year celebrations,(which were, null and void for me I'm afraid to say), Adrian had his 25th Birthday so lots of fun was had. It was lovely to see a healthy turn out of folks at his last minute birthday dinner/drinks/good old chinwag at 'Ask', the new Italian in Epsom. Then onto Wetherspoons where everyone had a few bev-aaaar-ages and kind enough to let lots of us clamber into his back seat for a ride home - good one George - Mondo respecting that.
We also went out for grubsys with Adrians mum, dad and sister to The Star where we had good foodies and even more drinkies :) Much fun was had by all and we're looking forward to our Rome trip. :P

New Years Day Antics
New Year was definately a different one for me. Obviously having Ralph around made it so unusual. We ventured into Horton country park from a different entrance and Ralph met loads of other new puppies and dogs that were also on their new years walk. he had a great time and was absolutely exhausted after a rather long treck around.
After that Adrian came over and for a bit of a giggle we built the gingerbread house that my mate Jo bought me for an early Christmas present. I dont think it went quite to plan (not that there was necessarily a plan as such). But the ceiling ended up caving in and our little ginger home was no more. Still at least it was nicely decorated (sort of). We took some pretty funny pictures of it and put it nicely on display for all to see.
Our day wasnt to be complete until Ralph had his new years bath. I have truly never seen that much mud come off of a dog. It was absolutely ridiculous. But alas, even Ralph isnt past help, he came out smelling like lavendar and then got a blast from the hairdryers, which he wasn't very impressed by to say the least.
